Egypt, Russia probe cooperation in seed production field

Arab Finance: Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El-Sayed El-Quseir is probing cooperation with the CEO of a major Russian company in the seed production field, as per a statement on June 14^th.

The Russian company could cooperate with the Egyptian Agriculture Research Center in the field of seed production which would contribute to raising Egypt’s productivity of strategic crops, along with ensuring food security, El-Quseir noted.

For his part, the Russian CEO expressed his firm’s readiness to cooperate with Egypt’s agriculture ministry to produce sunflower, corn, and soybeans seeds as well as to establish two factories in Egypt for the production of agricultural fertilizers and pesticides.
