Arab Finance: Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed ways of boosting cooperation in the fields of manufacturing medicines and vaccines as well as medical tourism with his Indian counterpart Mansukh L. Mandaviya, according to a statement by the Egyptian ministry on August 18th.
This came as part of Abdel Ghaffar’s visit to India to participate in the meeting of the G20 Health Working Group (HWG).
During the meeting, the two ministers suggested preparing a framework of understanding and a joint working paper, which would be the nucleus for effective cooperation and joint investment in the field of medical tourism.
In related news, Abdel Ghaffar also met with Saudi Arabian counterpart Fahad Al-Jalajel in India, where they exchanged views on the most important health challenges the world is witnessing in general, and the Arab region in particular.
