Madbouly appoints Ahmed El Sheikh as new Chairman of EGX

Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued a decree appointing Ahmed El Sheikh as the new Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) for one year, according to a cabinet statement on August 24th.

The decision will be effective starting Saturday, August 26th.

El-Sheikh succeeded Rami El-Dokany who has apologized for serving as the EGX’s Chairman for another one-year term.

Since December 2018, El-Sheikh has been Vice Chairman of the EGX.

El Sheikh is a graduate of the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University. He holds a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences.
