Arab Finance: ABB Egypt participated as a partner in the SwissCham Egypt Gala Evening 2026, as the company marked 100 years of operations in Egypt and reiterated its focus on supporting the country’s industrial and sustainability efforts, as per an emailed press release.
The event, hosted by Andreas Baum at the Swiss Residence in Cairo, brought together government officials and business leaders under the theme “Two Nations, One Shared Impact.” The gathering focused on economic cooperation between Egypt and Switzerland and the role of Swiss companies operating in the Egyptian market.
ABB Egypt said its participation reflects its continued focus on supporting industrial transformation and sustainability initiatives in Egypt.
The company added that its efforts extend beyond industrial production to integrating sustainability practices across its operations. Globally, ABB said it reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 79% compared with 2019 levels.
According to the company, the initiative aligns with ABB’s “Engineered to Outrun” strategy, which focuses on supporting industrial efficiency and sustainability across its operations and partnerships.
The SwissCham Egypt Gala Evening 2026 focused on Swiss-Egyptian business cooperation and explored how collaboration between governments and the private sector can support innovation, sustainable development, and economic growth.
