Edita plans up to EGP 4B in investments for 2026

Arab Finance: Egypt-based snack food producer Edita Food Industries (EFID) plans to invest up to EGP 4 billion in 2026 to expand production, Ahmed Samy, Edita’s CEO, told Al Borsa News.

He added that the company is also targeting an annual sales growth of 25% to EGP 26 billion from about EGP 21 billion in 2025.

The new investments will boost production capacity and support the company's business to help meet demand in domestic and international markets.

As part of the expansion, Edita plans to begin operating a new manufacturing facility in the industrial zone of 6th of October City during the first quarter (Q1) of 2027. The plant will include four production lines and is expected to raise the company’s total production capacity by approximately 10%.

Samy explained that the additional capacity will support business growth and improve operational efficiency as Edita expands its export footprint. Its operations in Morocco have already begun exporting to Mauritania and several European countries.

The company is also assessing potential acquisitions in Egypt and the wider region to strengthen its market presence and expand its operations.
