Arab Finance: The consolidated net profits after tax of Egyptian Gulf Bank (EG Bank) climbed by 32% year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 2.202 billion in the first half (H1) of 2026 from EGP 1.673 billion, according to the unaudited financial results.
Net interest income jumped by 28% to EGP 5.181 billion at the end of June 2026 from EGP 4.062 billion in H1 2025, while earnings per share (EPS) increased by 27% to EGP 3.73 from EGP 2.93.
Standalone net profits reached EGP 2.209 billion in H1 2026, an annual rise of 28% from EGP 1.720 billion.
The non-consolidated net interest income surged by 24% YoY to EGP 4.929 billion from EGP 3.979 billion.
In the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, EG Bank recorded 35% YoY higher consolidated profits at EGP 1.027 billion, compared to EGP 758.713 million.
