Arab Finance: The Egyptian pound was largely steady against the US dollar on Tuesday, according to market data.
At state-owned banks, the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr held rates unchanged at EGP 46.84 per dollar on the buy side and EGP 46.94 on the sell side.
Commercial International Bank (CIB) quoted the dollar at EGP 46.82 pounds to buy and 46.92 to sell.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) set its reference rates at EGP 46.815 per dollar for purchasing and EGP 46.915 for selling, respectively.
However, the highest buying rate was posted by SAIB Bank at EGP 47.48 per USD, with a selling rate of EGP 47.58, keeping it at the top of the market range.
