Gold prices in Egypt rise as Middle East tensions lift global bullion

Arab Finance: Gold prices rose on Wednesday, September 9, with the 24-karat price hitting EGP 7,226.9 for purchase and EGP 7,141.16 for sale, according to Dahab Masr data at 1:14 PM.

Meanwhile, 21-karat gold amounted to EGP 6,324.17 for buying and EGP 6,249.14 for selling.

The 18-karat gold price reached EGP 5,421.01 for buying and EGP 5,364.93 for selling.

Global gold prices rose as well, with spot gold at $4,391.5 for purchasing and $4,389.8 for selling, as escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East supported demand for the precious metal, while investors awaited US inflation data for further signals on the Federal Reserve’s interest rate path.
