MRMIA sets September deadlines for bidding on mining blocks

Arab Finance: The Mineral Resources and Mining Industries Authority (MRMIA) has announced the closing dates for bids on several mining blocks, according to a statement.

The bidding deadline for the T4 block, designated for talc, along with the Bb83, Be81, De74, De75, Df75, and Df76 blocks offered for gold, is September 1, 2026.

Meanwhile, the deadline for the Dd75 gold block has been set for September 2, while bids for the Ca75, Cf76, and Dc71 gold blocks will close on September 3. Bidding for Eh65 and Fa65 gold blocks is set to close on September 4.

The authority noted that if any closing date coincides with an official holiday, the deadline will be extended to the first working day following the end of the holiday.

In August, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi launched the 2026 international bid round for crude oil and natural gas exploration, offering 14 new blocks to international and Egyptian oil and gas companies.
