Labor Ministry declares July 23rd as official holiday for private sector

Arab Finance: Ministry of Labor declared Thursday, July 23rd, as official paid holiday for the private sector on the occasion of the anniversary of the 23 July Revolution, according to a statement on July 20th.

Business owners can oblige employees to work during the holiday, provided that they must be double-time paid.

The Egyptian cabinet, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) made the same announcement earlier.
