Arab Finance: Qatar-based conglomerate Al Mana Holding is exploring new expansion opportunities in Egypt across several economic sectors, according to a statement from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.
Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh reviewed the Qatari group's plans during a meeting with Abdulaziz Mohamed Hamad Al Mana, the group’s CEO. The talks took place in Doha on the sidelines of Farid’s participation in the World Investment Forum, organized by UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
The meeting covered progress on the group’s existing investments and the implementation of its ongoing projects in Egypt. Both sides also examined opportunities to broaden investment cooperation through new ventures in productive sectors.
Farid outlined investment opportunities in areas of interest to the group, affirming the ministry’s readiness to provide information on proposed projects and facilitate contact with the relevant authorities. This support would help Al Mana Holding assess available opportunities and identify suitable areas for expansion.
The minister also emphasized the importance of maintaining direct engagement with Qatari investors, monitoring their projects, and understanding their needs and any challenges affecting their investment plans.
He stressed that coordination with the relevant authorities to identify appropriate solutions would help safeguard existing investments and create the conditions for companies to expand their operations and establish new projects.
