Arab Finance: Remittances from Egyptians working abroad reached approximately $29.7 billion in the first seven months of 2026, as per data issued by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
This marks a 28.1% year-on-year (YoY) growth from the recorded remittances of about $23.2 billion in the January-July period of 2025.
The upward trend continued, with remittance inflows in July 2026 alone rising by 20% to about $4.5 billion from about $3.8 billion in July 2025.
It is worth noting that the CBE previously reported that remittances jumped 15.6% YoY to around $4.2 billion in June 2026, compared to $3.6 billion in June 2025.
In fiscal year (FY) 2025/2026, remittances from Egyptians working abroad rose 29.6% YoY to a record $47.3 billion.
