EGX closes Sunday’s trading session higher

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a positive performance on Sunday, with the EGX30 index ending the trading session higher by 0.59% at 31,130.68 points.

Likewise, the Sharia-compliant index, EGX33 Shariah index, rose by 0.82% to 3,323.56 points.

The EGX70 index and the EGX100 index ended the session higher by 0.86% at 8,623.19 points and by 0.97% at 11,983.17 points, respectively.

A total of 1.389 billion shares were traded over 95,275 transactions at a value of EGP 3.824 billion, while the market capitalization reached EGP 2.289 trillion.

Individuals equaled 81.42% of the total trading, while the institutions made up the remaining 18.57%.

Egyptian investors controlled 91.31% of trading transactions, while foreign and Arab traders accounted for 6.3% and 2.39%, respectively.

The Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 53.775 million. Arab and foreign traders were purchasers with EGP 40.261 million and EGP 13.514 million, respectively.
