Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday’s trading session in the green zone, as the EGX30 index climbed by 1.06% to 56,270.32 points.
The Shariah index rose by 1.09% to 6,637.87 points, while the EGX35-LV rose by 0.95% to 6,997.99 points.
Both the EGX70 index and EGX100 index finished the session higher by 0.37% at 21,302.67 points and by 0.55% at 27,898.74 points, respectively.
A total of 2.985 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 14.252 billion through 309,027 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap hit EGP 4.418 trillion.
Individuals took over 76.51% of trading transactions, while institutions accounted for 23.48%.
Egyptians controlled 89.33% of total trading, while Arab and foreign investors represented 2.4% and 8.26%, respectively.
Foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 111.093 million and EGP 20.581 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 131.674 million.
