Orascom Development launches Ramadan food initiative with Egyptian Food Bank

Arab Finance: Orascom Development has partnered with the Egyptian Food Bank to launch a community initiative to prepare and distribute 5,000 Ramadan food boxes to support vulnerable families during the holy month, as per an emailed press release.

The initiative, held under the banner “The Longest Chain of Giving,” brought together residents of O West city of various ages alongside company employees to pack essential food supplies.

The event took place at the O West Sports Club, where participants collaborated in what the company described as a spirit of teamwork aimed at supporting families in need.

The move aligns with Orascom’s broader strategy of integrating social responsibility into its vision of building connected and sustainable communities, extending its role beyond urban development.

The partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank reflects cooperation between the private sector and civil society organizations to implement community initiatives efficiently and promote social solidarity.

It is worth noting that O West spans 1,000 feddans, or 4.2 million square meters, in the heart of 6th of October City, minutes from Juhayna Square, Mall of Egypt and the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The city features a master plan designed to balance built-up areas with green spaces and includes integrated neighborhoods and dedicated spaces for social and community activities.
