Arab Finance: The value of trade exchange between Egypt and Russia rose 16.2% year on year (YoY) in 2022 to $4.7 billion, compared to $4.1 billion, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed.
The value of Egyptian exports to Russia saw a 21.6% YoY increase in 2022 to $595.1 million, compared to $489.6 million.
Meanwhile, the country’s imports from Russia amounted to $4.1 billion last year, up 15.5% from $3.6 billion in 2021.
Remittances of Egyptians working in Russia rose 32.3% YoY in fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022 to $16.4 million, while remittances of Russians living in Egypt declined by 19.6% YoY to $23.7 million.
