Egypt, Palestine to sign Gaza Marine gas field development deal within days

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) is set to sign an agreement with the Palestinian government to develop the offshore natural gas field Gaza Marine within five days, Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority’s (PENRA) Chairman Zafer Melhem told Asharq Business.

Negotiations have been finalized between both sides and development works have begun, Melhem said.

Moreover, he noted that the extraction of natural gas from the field would be executed without involving the Israeli side.
