Arab Finance: Egypt has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China to export Egyptian mangoes to China, the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation stated on September 16th.
The MoU has been signed by the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Al-Sayed El-Quseir and Chinese Vice Minister and CPC Committee Member of the General Administration of Customs Wang Lingjun.
El-Quseir discussed with Lingjun ways to enhance agricultural trade exchange between the two countries.
For his part, Lingjun said that Egyptian goods in Chinese markets increased by 30% over the past years.
Lingjun also indicated that Egyptian citrus fruits are currently in second place among the agricultural products exported to China.
The Chinese official highlighted the importance of the speedy completion of preparations to export Egyptian hot pepper to China.
