CBE announces June 18th bank holiday for Islamic New Year

Arab Finance: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has announced that all banks operating in Egypt will be closed on Thursday, June 18th, in observance of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH, according to a statement.

Operations at banks will resume on the morning of Sunday, June 21st.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly declared the same day a paid holiday for the same occasion.
