Concentrix Egypt eyes expansion into 5 governorates

Arab Finance: Concentrix Egypt plans to expand its investments into five new governorates, targeting creating around 11,000 jobs over the next two years to increase its workforce to 35,000 employees by the end of 2028, as per a statement by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The expansion plans were discussed during a meeting between Minister of Communications Raafat Hindi and Amr Sobhy, Chairman of Concentrix Egypt.

The company currently employs around 24,000 people in Egypt and aims to increase its workforce to 28,000 employees by the end of 2026, then to 31,000 in 2027, and 35,000 within two years, reflecting an annual growth rate of approximately 20%.

In January 2025, Concentrix signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) to expand its operations in Egypt through investments of around $1 billion and offering 16,000 new jobs by the end of 2028.

Hindi said the company’s continued expansion and growing investments in Egypt, alongside its rapid workforce growth and geographical expansion across governorates, underscore the attractiveness of the country’s business environment and the increasing interest of multinational companies in using Egypt as a hub for outsourcing services and digital exports.

He added that international outsourcing companies continue to expand in Egypt due to the country’s advanced digital infrastructure, supportive business environment, and pool of qualified talent capable of serving global markets.

Hindi also highlighted the ministry’s focus on expanding specialized training programs that align with labor market requirements, helping companies grow their operations while creating employment opportunities and supporting Egypt’s digital exports.

Meanwhile, Sobhy noted that Concentrix’s workforce in Egypt has grown from around 150 employees when it launched operations in 2009 to approximately 24,000 employees today. Egypt has become the company’s third-largest operating hub globally among the 72 countries where it operates, after India and the Philippines, and its largest center in the region.

The company currently operates 13 centers across several governorates and plans to add five new centers over the next two years, including expansions in the Delta and Upper Egypt regions.

The meeting also reviewed Concentrix’s strategy for integrating artificial intelligence into operations management and customer service, as well as its collaboration with universities and technology parks to develop talent and align training programs with industry needs. Discussions also covered opportunities to expand training-for-employment initiatives focused on outsourcing services, technical skills, and foreign languages, particularly German, French, and Spanish.

Concentrix Egypt provides services in 12 languages, including English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, serving clients across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, Canada, and South America. The company supports sectors including e-commerce, telecommunications, tourism, technology, banking, financial technology, healthcare, media, and transportation.
