Arab Finance: The Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Arabian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC), as per a statement.
The MoU was signed by Chairman of ENRRA Hany Khodr and Chairman of NRRC Khalid Al-Essa to expand cooperation in nuclear and radiological safety between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the EPR2025 International Conference on Preparedness and Response to Nuclear and Radiological Emergencies, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Riyadh from December 1st to 4th.
The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration in nuclear safety and radiation protection, with a particular focus on developing security and safety mechanisms through the exchange of technical and technological expertise.
The cooperation covers radiological laboratories, measurements and analyses, safety in the transport of radioactive sources, and preparedness and response to nuclear and radiological emergencies.
