Arab Finance: Trade exchange between Egypt and Algeria doubled in 2023 as compared to 2022, surpassing $1 billion, Head of the Commercial Office at the Egyptian Embassy in Algeria Yasser Qorani told Asharq Business.
Qorani pointed out that both countries target achieving $5 billion in trade volume over the upcoming years.
He added that most of the Egyptian exports to Algeria are semi-finished products, raw materials, food products, and pharmaceutical materials.
On the other hand, Egypt imports butane gas, materials for car tires, and some iron products from Algeria, Qorani noted.
