Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Monday, with the EGX30 index down 0.13% to 54,866.04 points.
The Shariah index declined by 0.10% to 6,548.36 points, while the EGX35-LV added 0.25% to 6,809.61 points.
On the other hand, the EGX70 index and EGX100 index closed the session lower by 2.06% at 20,893.38 points and by 1.51% at 27,262.44 points, respectively.
A total of 4.223 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 18.237 billion through 331,221 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap amounted to EGP 4.287 trillion.
Individuals dominated 67.12% of trading transactions, while institutions made up the remaining 32.87%.
Egyptians controlled 82.45% of total trading, while Arab and foreign investors represented 3.07% and 14.49%, respectively.
Foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 260.917 million and EGP 272.684 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 533.602 million.
