EGX closes Tuesday’s trading session higher

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone, with the EGX30 index up 1.03% to 55,431.29 points.

The Shariah index climbed by 0.17% to 6,559.41 points, while the EGX35-LV went up by 1.72% to 6,926.82 points.

Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index finished the session higher by 2.03% at 21,318.22 points and by 1.73% at 27,735.23 points, respectively.

The turnover hit EGP 16.102 billion through the exchange of 4.140 billion shares over 338,725 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap reached EGP 4.353 trillion.

Individuals controlled 72.89% of trading transactions, while institutions equaled the remaining  27.1%.

Egyptians took over the trading with 87.32%, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 9.36% and 3.31%, respectively.

Arab investors were sellers with EGP 248.987 million, while Egyptian and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 135.401 million and EGP 113.586 million, respectively.
