Philip Morris Egypt raises prices of cigarettes, heated tobacco products

Arab Finance: Philip Morris Egypt has announced new prices for its portfolio of traditional cigarettes and heated tobacco products in the Egyptian market, including Merit, Marlboro, L&M, HEETS, and TEREA.
Under the updated pricing, Merit is now priced at EGP 111 per pack, Marlboro at EGP 102, Marlboro Crafted at EGP 79, and L&M at EGP 82.
Heated tobacco products have also been adjusted, with TEREA priced at EGP 82 per pack, TEREA Capsules at EGP 87, and HEETS remaining at EGP 69.
The company said the official prices are displayed transparently on product packaging through QR codes, which have been affixed to traditional cigarette packs and heated tobacco sticks since 2022.
By scanning the codes, consumers can directly verify the approved retail prices.
Philip Morris Egypt also urged retailers and distributors to strictly adhere to the announced prices to ensure transparency and protect consumers.
The move follows the company’s previous price update in July 2025, when prices were revised as part of a periodic review in line with local market developments and recent tax changes.
