Egypt to host 2026 WTCA Middle East & Africa Conference on trade, investment

Arab Finance: The 2026 World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Middle East & Africa Conference will take place in Cairo from September 7 to 9, bringing together businesses, investors, and policymakers to explore cross-border trade and investment opportunities between the two regions, as per an emailed press release.

Hosted by World Trade Center (WTC) Cairo, the second edition of the conference will convene participants from the WTCA network, which spans more than 300 World Trade Center locations across nearly 100 countries and territories.

Held under the theme “Bridging the Gap Between Africa and the Middle East: Where Businesses, Investors, and Markets Meet,” the conference will feature keynote addresses by government officials and discussions on regional business expansion, strategic economic zones and emerging investment corridors across trade, capital and infrastructure.

Sessions will also examine ways to harmonize trade policies, reduce barriers to regional integration and strengthen partnerships, while interactive presentations by WTCA members will provide a platform for exchanging insights and best practices.

The conference comes as Egypt targets $145 billion in exports by 2030, supported by coordinated trade, industrial, fiscal and monetary policies.

Against a backdrop of changing geopolitical and market conditions, the event is expected to provide a platform for strengthening partnerships, expanding market access and supporting Egypt’s export-driven growth strategy.

"WTC Cairo is committed to leveraging these strengths to connect Egyptian businesses with international opportunities and foster greater cross-border collaboration, as part of the WTCA's global network of more than 300 WTC locations,” Ramadan El Arnaouti, Managing Director of WTC Cairo and Vice Chair of the WTCA MEA Regional Advisory Council, said.

“For more than 55 years, WTCA has been committed to connecting local economies with international opportunities for trade and investment. By leveraging our apolitical business network, built on the principles of free trade and open markets, we are committed to strengthening connections between one of the world's most dynamic regions and the international business community, helping local enterprises unlock unprecedented cross-border opportunities,” Crystal Edn, WTCA Executive Director-Member Services, noted.
