Fish prices in Egypt remained stable on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025.

Egypt procured about 4 million tons of local wheat during the harvest season that ended in mid-August, marking an increase of more than half a million tons compared to last year’s 3.43 million tons, Reuters reported, citing Ahmed Azam, head of the services sector at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

Madbouly also noted that the scheme could include other strategic goods such as wheat that its local procurement price was set at EGP 1,250 per ardeb by the government in January.
