El-Sisi extends Hassan Abdalla’s term as CBE acting governor for another year

Arab Finance: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has extended the term of Hassan Abdalla as the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for another year, MENA news agency reported on August 18^th, citing an Egyptian Gazette.

On August 18^th, 2022, El-Sisi issued a decree appointing Abdallah as the CBE’s acting governor, after the resignation of Tarek Amer, the central bank’s former governor.
